About the Maine Coon

Coat & eye colors:
Maine Coons can have any colors that other cats have except the following. Colors indicating crossbreeding, such as chocolate, lilac, color point patterns or the "ticked" tabby patterns, are not accepted by some breed standards. This is not universal, the ticked pattern, for example, is accepted by TICA and CFA. The most common pattern seen in the breed is brown tabby. All eye colors are accepted under breed standards, with the exception of blue or odd-eyes, i.e. heterochromia iridium (two eyes of different colors), in cats possessing coat colors other than white.
The Maine Coon is a long- or medium-haired cat. The coat is soft and silky, although texture may vary with coat color. The length is shorter on the head and shoulders and longer on the stomach and flanks, with some cats having a leonine ruff around their neck. Minimal grooming is required for the breed compared to other long-haired breeds, as their double coat is mostly self-maintaining owing to a light-density undercoat. The coat is subject to seasonal variation with the fur being thicker in the winter and thinner during the summer.

Personality and Behavior:
Maine Coons are social, gentle, and playful. They enjoy interacting with people, following their owners around, and can be trained to play fetch or walk on a leash. Despite their size, they are patient and adaptable, making them ideal for families and households with children or other pets. They are affectionate but not overly clingy, and they often remain playful well into adulthood

Size of Maine Coon:
Females can range from 12-15 pounds generally although they can be larger, Males range between 18-25 pounds

Food: I feed a high protein diet, my kittens are fed meat twice a day. Chicken, & on occasion, mackerel, tuna, sardines.  (Fish should be fed no more than twice a week) they are also fed Stella & Chewy freeze dried raw & Instinct freeze dried raw kitten version.  Once a day they have NuVet mixed in there chicken, I also add a few teaspoons of Nulo wet food which is high in fat. My kittens start on Nulo all stages Turkey & Cod or Royal Canin, the kibble is smaller and easier to chew.  If you want a nice healthy kitten never change up their diet, after all cats are carnivores.  I realize not all families can feed meats so I recommend Weruva, Nulo, BFF any good quality wet food Care Sheet:

All my kittens come with a hand typed care sheet, what they are currently eating, litter they use, when they were wormed, vaccinated, Vet checked etc.

Your new kitten: Contract whether a pet or breeder. Deposit to hold said kitten. Deposits range between $400-$500. Spread sheet of what has been done for your kitten. NYS health certificate. Fecal examine.  Two year congenital guarantee.
